This tape works very well if you apply it correctly. The most important thing to remember is to clean the inside edges of your rim(where the tape will adhere to) with alcohol to get any dirt and debris off. Next star applying the tape roughly six inches ahead of the value hole. Go over the valve hole and go around the rim two full times. End six inches beyond the valve. When you apply the tape just make sure the tape is covering and adhering to the sides of the rim. Do not worry about pressing it down in the middle. When you finish with the tape put a tube in and seed the tire. This will also flatten the tape fully to the rim. If you don’t go around twice or if you don’t cover the edges the tape will not seal properly. It works well if installed correctly. I took off a star because it really it too expensive.;

I was worried about all the reviews about adhesion problems but after riding for a month the tape is pretty air tight with 1-2 psi loss per day. If you have a Sun Ringle fat tire rim it has a fabric inner rim which offers no adhesion. The tape has enough adhesion to hold it in place until you seat the bead. The bead is the only thing holding the tape on. If you ever debead the fat tire like I did the tape will slip off and cannot form a seal requiring a re-tape. So install it make sure the tape overlaps the bead and if you ever have to debead the tire then tear out the old tape and put new tape in. Its a rim design issue.;

I have tubless ready Sun Ringle fat tire rims. My first attempt at tubeless conversion was with Gorilla tape. I never got a good seal. I decided to purchase this tape and with a helper we got a great airtight seal on the first try. Follow the directions by cleaning degreasing and overlapping according to instructions. This is wide so a helper is good to get great alignment on the rim. Very thin with good adhesive so once in place it stays well. Thin enough that it doesn't interfere with the seating of the bead. I did two 27.5 rims and have tape left over.;

The right tape for 80mm Mulefut rims. Reaches from rim wall to rim wall unlike wide gorilla tape. Holding up after a few weeks of use.;
