Perfect fit for a "BOOST" 141 QR rear on a schwinn axum.;

The rear hub on my 2019 Rosco 7 went out and I needed a replacement. I was able to score a Sun Ringle mid-fat rear wheel assembly for a phenomenal price. The wheel and parts came out to a lot less money than it would have cost to get a new hub and get it re-laced onto the original rim.
The only problem is that there's really no such thing as a 141 boost hub. 141 hubs are in fact 148 thru-axle hubs with qr adapters or qr end-caps. Essentially these hubs are built so that the end caps of the hubs can be removed and replaced. 142 hubs used a similar build wherein their end caps could be replaced with qr adapters to fit on 135mm frames. It's odd to see brand new fairly capable mountain bikes built with this weird 141 boost standard but apparently it saves the company a bit of money and therefore a few manufacturers have been using this standard on their entry-level mountain bikes. I do believe that Norco used these in the recent past and Giant is currently using 141 boost on their Fathom and Stance bikes. Trek is putting these on their Roscos and X-Calibers. If you've purchased a bike with this weird standard you're not going to find a hub that's built specifically for this standard.
However you're in luck. There are now several hub manufacturers that are making hubs that can be adapted to fit the 141 boost standard. Some examples are Hope DT Swiss Industry Nine and Sun Ringle. I haven't found any Shimano or Sram hubs with adapters. There may be others of course but these are the companies that I can confirm have suitable hubs and adapters for the 141 standard.
The product being reviewed here the Sun Ringle SRX/SRC end cap kit worked like a dream. One side simply pops off and the other screws on and off. They were easy to get on and I was on a trail in minutes with no problems whatsoever.
I'm happy to have found a product that works for my bike.;
