Sunrace SL-M10 Thumb Shifter SLM10 Left Friction

Good;

Don't get me wrong this is the perfect way to move from a stem mounted shifter to the handlebars. The problem is that it says right hand but the picture and the item received are both left hand. The packaging even says left hand. The cable length would be fine for a front derailleur but it is too short to make the rear. I had a cable lying around so I was all set but most people probably don't. It still works when you put it on the right side. My 5 speed Schwinn junker anti-theft bike is now so much more functional. I really used to have two useable gears all the way up and all the way down. Now I can find the other three in the middle.;

Misleading description : ONLY RECIEVED ONE LEFTHAND SHIFTER.

However it works fine. Nice "click" to it.
Simple and effective.;

It is a great shifter for the price but i installed it and it was about 8" to short so i hadcto modify my cable covers and move the shifter all the way down on my gooseneck to use it. Now after modifications it works great. But i really wish it was by my thumb id feel safer...;

For the $ it is a great upgrade on older mountain bikes that have crappy grip shifters.;
