I bought this to replace the old Shimano friction shifters and it is like 4 times the size. Old flat bars are small and cluttered as it is. It seems this is of decent quality but not something I would want to use unless you are only concerned with function.;

It was not my intention of using this on a bicycle... instead I intended to use it as a manual throttle control on a truck
I did not really like the stiff ratcheting movement... and loosening the screw securing didn't help soften that.

I like the Sunrace SLM10 better (also purchased);
