Needs more pull on the lever. Running them with TRP Spyre road brakes and compressionless housing and they feel soft and spongy. Ok stopping power but not nearly enough for loaded touring. Cosmetically they are beautiful and comfortable as well. Overall performance is iffy.;

The biggest drawback is that these do not have as much travel as I would like. I've so far tried them with Avid BB7 mountain discs and TRP hybrid brakes. You have to really bring the Avids in as close as possible and even then it's not ideal for a front brake. I'm currently running a TRP hybrid front and and Avid rear which does ok.

There is release button which is probably for V brake /wheel removal. I modified one brake lever to try and increase the amount of travel by removing the release button. This sort of works.

The good part is the brakes are very comfortable and have good leverage. I had Tektro 520s and these are nicer. Perhaps they will release a lever with better travel in the future.
Eventually I punched out the pin holdi;

Great brake levers! I have two pairs and can’t reccomend enough. Good grip and durable. Rubber has taken a beating and still only has a few cuts;

I honestly haven't even hooked the levers up yet but I can already tell they're very good just by how they look and feel. Great shape that seems ergonomic. One thing I didn't realize before ordering is that the levers are not completely straight the bottom flares out... seems nice on paper but I'll update my review after I've finished setting up the bike and get a feel for how it rides.

To update: I've done a few rides and a few commutes with these now (probably about 100 miles total) and I'm really enjoying them! Great control from the drops. Pretty comfortable. Leverage for braking from the hoods feels a bit lacking but that's usually the case it seems. No technical problems whatsoever I'm sure they will work well for years to come. A bit heavy... might go with the carbon version if you're concerned about such things.;

Just bought these levers. Wow are they fantastic. They yield incredible braking performance the "snap back" feeling after you're done braking is fantastic they look amazing and the hoods are super comfortable. I can't recommend these enough especially for the price they're killer.;
