Seems like a decent product overall... Unfortunately it does not supply all the hardware needed if your bike uses cantilever brakes. For 70$ I shouldn't have to find a ride to the hardware store for two bolts that it should have just came with. It's a six mile ride up hill and in the rain to my nearest hardware store. This is very frustrating.;

I've installed many fender sets over the years including various iterations from the VO product line. Starting with the caveat that a little experience doing so makes a lot of difference I'll simply say that these were the easiest install I've ever done. The product itself is excellent quality and if you ensure that all bolt points are tight and use the provided leather washers you shouldn't experience any buzz or rattle. (Tap the fender with your finger at various location close to the bolts after the install - if you hear any buzz pull the wheel go back and check for adequate tightness. You'll thank me later.)

On a lark I went with the "noir" version (for those of you who don't already know this simply means the fenders are black.) The finish does scratch easily so if you're also installing a front or rear rack be sure to place a thin soft surface between rack and fender to avoid mishaps. A dryer sheet for example works fine and will avoid scratches from rack bolts. If you do happen to scratch the surface touch up is pretty easy with a Sharpie...just be aware that all blacks are not alike and you'll see a difference in sheen as well as color if you look closely.

As I said I've installed quite a few fenders for brevet and randonneur style bicycles. I can do a good install and get a good fender line in pretty short order. If you haven't done this type of installation before take your time and don't cut corners. Measure carefully! Installation is easy but you do need to pay attention to detail along the way.;
