598 ERD (measured/verified) is accurate. I've seen 600mm and 597mm also listed. However this rim may have gone through a revision since the time I bought mine.

I bought mine in 2009 and laced to a Shimano generator hub. The bike was an Xtracycle conversion used for kid hauling 29" front and 26" rear.

The rim has held up so well that during a recent major overhaul of the bike I'm not only keeping the front Blunt rim (now re-laced to a SON generator hub) but I built up a Blunt 26 for the rear.

These aren't the widest rims out there but look great and are well matched to 2.5" Schwalbe Big Apple tires.

Given that the 29" version has done so well on the cargo bike I'd have no hesitation using them for a trail bike application.

These rims don't have eyelets. I've seen talk that there were some spoke hole cracking concerns with early production that may have been addressed with a production change in 2012. However my early version has exhibited no such problem.

My only criticism of this rim is the poorly applied decals. My new 26" Blunt decals were sloppily applied slightly wrinkled and got in the way of my truing gauge.

On a positive note the rim joint which can be a rub point when truing some rims is practically "invisible" on this rim -- much appreciated!;

Great rim! Very pleased. Using it with an Alfine 8 on my Surly Ogre! Bouha!;
