The tyre itself it's totally fine. Plenty of grip and a good tread for road and slight off road stuff like a canal path (depending on the state of the path).

However I would be careful with the listing claiming that the tyre is a 700x40C. As you can see in my photo I infact received a 38C. It doesn't bother me all too much but for someone else who may be wanting a specific size instead of something that is close but not quite I would be ready to request a refund or replacement.;

The stars are irrelevant as the tyre is only just mounted. Very easy to fit. Previous tyre was meant to have puncture resistance but had worn thin after just 1300 miles and was getting regular punctures. Too early to tell how this new tyre will fare but I will come back and let folks know. I couldn't find a rotation arrow on the tyre wall though frankly this never seems to make much difference to performance anyway.;

Bought these a few months ago much better than the Schwalbe I had before well engineered light good rolling resistance dependable good value for money! highly recommend!;
