Bought for a front crank on a tandem. Paired with a 30T chain ring. Worked great. Haven't hit anything with it yet. I'll update it after I get a good hit on it.

Why did I get this? I bashed the original 38T ring on a rock and destroyed it. Went smaller and added the bash guard to prevent it from happening again. Next time I bash it I can tell you if it works. Note to any tandem users you can mount the bash on the inside of the ring if you don't have room to shift the rings to the inside of the cranks on the stoker.;

It's perfect for what I need it for. I changed my Turner 5 Spot from a 2x9 to a 1x9. I used a 26 tooth Wolf Tooth ring and this bash guard. I am going to make the bike a 1x11 next year and will still use a new 26 tooth ring and this bash guard. Very well made. I am glad to see it's made in the United States.;

I ride singletrack trails having frequent turns and frequent changes of elevation. I wasn't using the largest (3rd; 42T) chainring of my SR Suntour XCT crankset. So I replaced that largest sprocket with this bashguard. On my MTB this item serves to protect the 32T chainring which is now the largest on my bike. Installation was quick; no need to pull the crank off its spindle.

FYI this ring has an outside diameter of 150mm (5.91").

It has been in service now for at least 5 singletrack rides sometimes in rock gardens. It has caused no problems thus far and has sustained only a couple tiny nicks.

If I observe any trouble with this component some time in the future then I'll update this report...;
