Wolf Tooth Seatpost Clamp 31.8mm Red Secures Seatpost Precision Engineered

Costly but it is USA made. Hopefully better than my stock quick release clamp. Update: So far so good. It has not come loose and looks nice. Time will tell.;

Very smooth and consistent pressure evenly applied to the full circumference due to it's design. I use a little Park Tools SAC-2 Supergrip on the seatpost for a rock solid hold.;

The cheap clamp that came with my bike put too much focused pressure at the very top of my seat tube that prevented my dropper post from operating smoothly. I could only put 4.5 nM of force on the clamp before it caused problems with the dropper function but the seat post would still slip in the tube.

Suspecting that the clamp was the issue I looked for replacements that do a better job distributing the force. The BikeYoke Squeezy appeared to be a good candidate but price and availability was a problem.

I've had good experiences with Wolf Tooth so I sent them a note asking about the dimensions of this clamp specifically the lip at the very top that prevents the clamp from sliding down the tube. They answered promptly and the dimensions looked good. The price was much better than BikeYoke plus it's a US company so I gave it a try.

The clamp works perfectly I can crank it down to 6+ nM. The post doesn't slip anymore and the dropper functions flawlessly. It's VERY light and looks great.;

Used this clamp on my 2019 Stumpjumper expert after original piece broke. Wolf tooth replacement part is twice as beefy as original component and is holding up well. Wouldn’t expect anything different from these guys.;
