Specifications

Born from the need to race in European enduro events, the Vigilante is WTB's premier aggressive All Mountain tire. The square-lugged open tread pattern offers stability in loose or wet terrain, while the stiff outside knobs grip at lean angles like nobody business. With Dual DNA rubber or Gravity DNA options, this is the tire to ride when you are giving it your all.

  • Often used as an aggressive front tire, though it also works well as a rear tire on loose, steep terrain
  • WTB's most popular mountain tire

Upgraded to a set of the Vigilante Tubeless Tires first time going tubleless but would never go back to tubes again.;

So far so good. Nice and grippy. I just started riding with it on my front wheel so we'll have to wait for anything having to do with durability.;

I got the 2.5 x 29" and have it on the front wheel of a hard tail single speed. It installed just fine without too much effort. I immediately noticed that it is a heavy tire. That' the trade-off for how much protection/tear resistance it has. I ride in the desert southwest - from dry hard pack to loose dirt/rock (nothing wet/muddy). It's the widest tire I've ever ridden on the front. That and the side knobbies provide really good traction when cornering. Its a great tire if you want the traction and stability and can live with the extra weight.;

tire is good quality but care must be taken to keep tire centered on the rim when you add air;
